A pesquisa em bioss\u00edntese de Produtos Naturais aliada \u00e0 Biologia Sint\u00e9tica vem, nos \u00faltimos anos, permitindo a elucida\u00e7\u00e3o de um grande n\u00famero de vias biossint\u00e9ticas de metab\u00f3litos secund\u00e1rios e a sua obten\u00e7\u00e3o em sistemas heter\u00f3logos com o uso de microrganismos. Neste contexto, o grupo de bioss\u00edntese do IQ-UNESP, Araraquara, est\u00e1 inserindo uma abordagem de fronteira nesta \u00e1rea com a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de estudos que aliam as ferramentas gen\u00f4micas, transcript\u00f4micas e prote\u00f4micas aplicadas ao estudo de plantas medicinais nativas do Brasil. Por sua vez, nosso grupo de pesquisa h\u00e1 anos desenvolve trabalhos com classes de subst\u00e2ncias naturais com potentes atividades antitumoral, tripanocida, antif\u00fangica e antioxidante com ac\u00famulo em esp\u00e9cies de Piperaceae e Celastraceae.<\/p>\n
