Diversidade e Evolução de Monocotiledôneas, com ênfase em Eriocaulaceae

Descrição

Bacharel em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade de São Paulo (2005). Doutor em Ciências, na área de Botânica pela Universidade de São Paulo (2010). Pós Doutorado em Botânica na Ruhr-Universität-Bochum, Alemanha (2011). Atualmente é professor adjunto na Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro e membro permanente no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências (Botânica) do Museu Nacional – UFRJ. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: Sistemática, Eriocaulaceae, Morfometria, Morfologia, Filogenia, Biogeografia e Conservação. Atualmente é bolsista Jovem Cientista do Nosso Estado – FAPERJ

Principais Trabalhos Desenvolvidos

O Laboratório Integrado de Sistemática Vegetal tem como principais linhas de pesquisa o estudo da Diversidade, Evolução e  Conservação de Monocotiledôneas. O Prof. Marcelo Trovó encaixa-se nesta linha com ênfase na família Eriocaulaceae, porém estudando também outras famílias de Angiospermas.
